New On Street Parking Charges from 5th November |
|
New parking charges are coming into effect from Monday 5 November which will mean that visitors will be able to park for as little as a pound anywhere in the city centre. The Council has announced these changes in response to the parking study commissioned by the Retail and Leisure BIDs. They have reacted by introducing a simpler parking structure with new charges, and by removing all maximum stay times. It means that visitors to the city can choose where and how long they want to park according to how much they want to spend. - Daytime - between 8am to 6pm (Monday to Saturday), a £1 charge will allow: - Evenings - between 6pm and 8pm (Monday to Saturday), the £1 charge will cover parking in all zones throughout the city. - On Sundays drivers will be able to park for: We are clearly delighted that the Council has listened to what the BID and its levy payers have said and have introduced the new charges and pricing structure.
