The Cornerhouse has given the MS Society an early Christmas present by raising over £600 for the charity.
£637 was collected during our Christmas light switch on, as well as at a special fashion show that followed at style consultancy and boutique Stick & Ribbon.
“Both events were a real team effort,” commented centre manager Suzanne Green.
“Staff, our outlets, suppliers, friends and family joined forces to sell drinks, cupcakes and mince pies, and collect donations, at the Christmas switch on. Meanwhile, ticket sales and a charity raffle at the fashion show both contributed to our total.
“The fashion show featured six Nottingham ladies who had won the opportunity to model at the show, including Donna Heffeman 32, who suffers from MS and loved making her modelling debut.
“It’s heart-warming to see so many people joining together for such a worthy cause.” said Suzanne.
The MS Society is one of The Cornerhouse’s chosen charities. Funds raised are used by the MS Society to fund research, give grants, campaign for change, provide information and support, and invest in Multiple Sclerosis specialists.
